July 14, 2015 – Drive 453 mi, 8 hours, 46 minutes
As we arrived too late in the day to see the sights of Colmar we spent some of the morning exploring this small French town sometimes called “Little Venice”. Back on the road heading South, we were soon crossing the boarder into Switzerland stopping to be to purchase our Swiss Road Tax sticker by the scowling Swiss boarder guards. Our first stop was in the village of Gruyères, Switzerland former home of and now museum for artist HR GIGER. Heading South again through the twisty roads of Switzerland and soon entering Italy via the Tunnel Du Grand Saint Bernard. A long but scenic drive lead us to our destination Lake Garda and the village of Torri del Benaco.
