The city of Enkhuizen contains a reenactment village of homes and shops collected from around the Netherlands and arranged to look like a village from the past. It is very well presented and is worth a visit if you care to see the early days of the Netherlands. The museum village is called the Zuiderzee museum.
Some of the real villages that followed are Hoorn and Edam which is named after the second best cheese in Holland after Guida.
Yeah, right, the village named after the cheese… We’re not *that* daft over here ;-)And hush hush, the other one is called Gouda, not Guida (you’re confusing the village with an Italia guide…)
