Flight from JFK to AMS arriving at Schiphol airport on July 3rd and taking the train to Groningen for a couple of days.
The long drive to JFK airport was broken up with a stop at Gun Hill Brewery in the Bronx. Difficult parking but good beer. Next we arrived at Vic and Gails house for some pizza and a quick drive to JFK. With a two hour delay at JFK to unplug the toilets on the plane our late flight became much later. Seven hours or so later, arriving at Schiphol airport only to discover a disruption of the trains. This gave us the opportunity to enjoy some Dutch cuisine; patat, apple gabak, beer and coffee. Due to the canceled trains the next one actually running was extra full and finding a place to stand and eventually sit, with all our luggage was a challenge.
