After an enjoyable stay in Siena, we drove West then North along the coast toward our destination for the night; a B&B just outside of Genoa. Along the way a planed visit to Cinque Terre was interrupted by the chaos known as the city of La Spezia. Trying to find the ferry to take us to Cinque Terre was impossible as was just getting out of the city. We eventually gave up and headed to our B&B at the top of a mountain via a series of narrow twisty roads. Finding the only place for dinner was back down the mountain road our hosts offered us a fantastic home cooked meal. The next day we again drove along the Italian coast and across the boarder into France then stopping overnight in the tiny principality of Monaco
